Farewells and Welcomes in the International Department
In June we farewelled Amelie Buettner and then in July we said goodbye to Lotte Berkhan, Sophia Gruber, Thala Scheffer and Tom Wurthmann who were all with us for a year, plus Anna Scheunemann and Noah Southwell from New Caledonia who were both here for half a year. We were all very sad to see them go but I know they were excited about seeing their family and friends again back home.
Welcome to New Students - Term 3
The first day of term 3 we welcomed new students - Frederik Mock, Jakob
Bayreuther, Laura Busch, Lukas Hein, Moritz and Hannah Ruffer, Norick Leverenz, Piet
Katzenstein, Thies Henning and Veronika who are all from Germany, plus Sam So from
Hong Kong and Ellie Ryser and Lukas Koenig both from Switzerland.
They spent Monday morning going through the student guide, getting their timetables and touring the school with their buddies. After lunch they went on a tour of Dunedin in a mini bus driven by Mark Dickson from Awesome Tours.
On the Tuesday they were formally welcomed by Matua Tip Winiata in the Whare after which they met our Sports Co ordinater, Frankie Vella and our HOD of music, John Dodd. We hope they enjoy their time at Logan Park High School, make many new friends and create fond memories to take back home with them.
