The National Flower of South Korea - Mugunghwa
The Year 10 Korean class had an opportunity to plant Mugunghwa at our school.
The Mugunghwa, or the Rose of Sharon, is an object of deep affection. Meaning “eternal blossom that never fades,” it has been an important symbol of Korean culture for centuries.
We have been featured on the Happy World Korean TV during the tree planting, because Mugunghwa is a very important tree for Koreans in New Zealand and around the world. As students of Korean, our students proudly interviewed on the show and presented their appreciation of the meaningful experience.
