Lions Speech Champion
Congratulations to Marnie Brosnahan for winning the Otago Lions Speech Competition.
Marnie was sponsored by the Port Chalmers Lions Club and travelled to Oamaru in June to compete. She has won a trip to the National finals in Palmerston North in August.
Grace Johnson from Columba College was second and ex-Logan Park student Olivia Goldsmith placed third. The national winner will win a trip overseas for 6 weeks.
Marnie's prepared speech was on societal expectations for women and she also had to present a 2 minute impromptu speech. The impromptu topic was "Advancements since I have been born."
