Photojournalist Visit

Students enjoyed a talk from acclaimed photojournalist Bill Hatcher in February.

Science teacher and adventure enthusiast Nick Biggin organised the event and a number of science and media studies students appreciated his insights.

Bill advocated for people to pursue what they are passionate about.  He has had an inspiring career doing what interests him, including having photos published on the front cover of National Geographic.  His latest work tends to cover the effects of climate change on the environment and animals.  He shared lots of practical advice like getting a good broad education, reading and studying, networking, using social media more effectively, backing yourself and not taking failure personally, telling stories and photo composition.  We hope to hear from Bill again later this year.
