Orchestra entertains Assembly
Our very talented Orchestra, conducted by John Dodd and led by Year 13 student Josephine Devereux, entertained school assemblies recently.
Our very talented Orchestra, conducted by John Dodd and led by Year 13 student Josephine Devereux, entertained school assemblies recently. They played two pieces, Largo from Dvorak's New World Symphony and a jazz chart, Minnie the Moocher by Cab Calloway, dedicating the Dvorak to the memory of Denise Walsh. We have 28 students in the Orchestra this year.
The school jazz band also performed a gig recently at the St Leonard's school fair. Fair goers were treated to an enthusiastic and skilled performance of a variety of classic jazz tunes under the direction of Calder Prescott.
