Environmental Group
We are very pleased to announce that our application to the DCC Enviroschools program for $500 has been approved.
Our intention is to purchase reusable/washable gloves and tongs for each House Group to use to keep their designated areas tidy and litter-free. These gloves will replace the use of disposable latex gloves.
Three of our students have also been lucky enough to meet Dr. Jane Goodall at the Orokonui Ecosanctary, where they planted trees and made a presentation about our school's environmental activities. She is an inspiration to the students and it was a great privilege to meet her.
