Gold Medal in Taekwondo
Congratulations to Lily Menzies, Year 10 for her Gold Medal in Pairs at the 2014 National Champs.
The Taekwondo Union of New Zealand National Championships were held in September. Lily competed in the Individual, Pairs and Teams Poomsae Competition and performed to an excellent standard in all of the events.
She and her partner won the Gold Medal in the Pairs section and her team won a Silver Medal. She was competing in the Under 18 Senior Coloured Belt section.
This completed a great year for Lily and followed on from her Individual and Pairs Gold Medals at the South Island Taekwondo Championships earlier in the year.
