13 Biology Trip by Dick Pirie

Year 13 Biology Trip

The Year 13 Biology class began the year looking at how our bodies maintain a stable internal environment.

As a part of that, we visited the University Physiology Department and spent the afternoon investigating the relationship of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our lungs and which one makes you breathe. Part of this needed the use of nose clips which, apparently many students enjoyed! The trip was enjoyable and the students were able to put numbers on something that we do without thinking (breathing).
