La galette des rois by Heike Cebulla-Elder

La galette des rois et le babyfoot

It was the time of the year again when we get to find who our queen or king is - at least for one day.

Traditionally in France on the 6th of January is the day where a galette des rois is baked and a small figure hidden in that cake. The youngest member of a family (of a class) gets to sit under the table and allocate pieces of this famous almond tart to the other family (class) members. If you are the lucky one to find the figurine in your piece, then you are the king/queen for the day and you are in charge - le chef - c’est moi!

We are also really enjoying the babyfoot dans la salle - during French class time but also very popular during breaks where football skills are put into practice.
