Race Unity Celebrations

On 22 March we celebrated the United Nations, Race Unity Day with an inspiring special assembly.

Over 60 students representing 30 different countries and cultures greeted the audience in their language before Head Prefects Jimmy Robinson and Reva Grills lead everyone in singing John Lennon's Imagine.
Thanks to Lydie Leurquin, International Prefect and all the students involved in organising the assembly. We also met for a special pizza lunch in the Whare at lunchtime. Race Unity is a United Nations initiative aimed at ending all forms of discrimination.  You can view the full 9 minute assembly video below.
