Our annual House Day gave us a wonderful opportunity to introduce and include all of our new students into our effective House/Group pastoral system.

Logan Park High School students represented the environment at a protest against Oil Drilling.

At the end of 2013 students were given the opportunity to enter the Toitu, Robbie Burns Song Writing Competition.

Last year three of our top Year 12 students were selected to represent Logan Park High School at the University of Auckland and Rotary Science and Technology Summer School.

Congratulations to all involved with scholarship tutoring and examinations in 2013. Logan Park High School managed 16 scholarships over the last year, including one outstanding scholarship in English.

LPHS is to be involved in a new teacher training programme in partnership with the University of Otago Teachers College. The Master of Teaching and Learning is an intensive research-informed programme of postgraduate study, aiming to prepare student teachers with a passion and commitment to teaching and learning to meet requirements for provisional teacher registration.

It has been wonderful to see our Logan Park family expanding with the addition of Amber Fraser-Smith and James Govan.

Roger Tobin was farewelled from Logan Park at the end of January. The evening ceremony and supper was one befitting his character.

At 9am on Wednesday 5 February all Year 9 students were treated to a wonderful performance by the Itinerant Music teaching team as they demonstrated a wide range of instruments.
