Japanese Language and Culture Activities
In Term Two Logan Park had one competitor each in the Dunedin-Otaru Sister City Society Japanese Speech Competition and the NZAJLT Trivia Quiz.
Naoki Kozakai won third prize in the Dunedin-Otaru Sister City Society Japanese Speech Competition for his speech in Japanese. Frances Reid was Logan Park’s sole competitor in the Japanese Trivia Quiz, which was a fun evening of friendly competition on Japanese trivia in which school teams competed in regional clusters all around the country at the same time.
There were prizes for the best Japanese themed costumes, and a range of delicious Japanese foods to snack on during the quiz.
We will be looking at building participation in both of these excellent events in the years to come.
