Women In Science Breakfast with Lucy Collins
During the first week of the July school holidays a group of 7 LPHS science students were invited to the Women in Science breakfast as part of the Otago University Science Festival.
We had a lovely breakfast at the Technique restaurant at the Otago Polytech and listened to a talk by Lucy Collins.
Lucy Collins is a Naval Architect and over breakfast she shared her science journey in the specialist field of submarine design. This is a most unique job description and Lucy is passionate about inspiring young women into science. The breakfast was sponsored by the British High Commission.
