LES MILLS CORE

LES MILLS CORE™ is 30 minutes of functional core training. All the moves have options, so it's challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the workout trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches and hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt and lower back exercises.


BODYBALANCE

Ideal for anyone and everyone. BODYBALANCE™ is a new generation yoga class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. A modern take on yoga with elements of Tai Chi and Pilates, set to music. This strength and flexibility workout has been scientifically designed to hlep fitness club members build strength, flexibility and a beautiful sense of balance.


BODYCOMBAT

Step into BODYCOMBAT workout and you’ll punch and kick your way to fitness. This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. A LES MILLS™ instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.


BODYPUMP

BODYPUMP™ is THE ORIGINAL BARBELL CLASS™, the ideal workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques, pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.


STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT

STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT is progressive strength training, meaning each workout focuses on a specific training protocol for building strength over the 12 workouts. Ranging from Foundational Strength, to Hypertrophy, to Pure Strength, while the structure and feel is very different to BODYPUMP™. With great music to drive the workout STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT uses Time Under Tension, & rep-ranges depending on the prescribed protocol of the workout.


RPM

RPM™ is a 45-minute group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s a fun and low impact exercise class. With great music pumping and the group cycling as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly rotate the pedals to reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness. RPM is a great way to build up your sense of personal achievement. You can draw on the group’s energy and find your rhythm in the music. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time. It’s a journey, not a race!


BODYJAM

BODYJAM is a dance-based workout designed to get you moving fast and working your body. Taking inspiration from dancers all over the world and mixing it up with House, Hip-hop, Drum 'n' Bass, Trap and all styles of electronic dance music, BODYJAM doesn't discriminate, and dance is free, so what's stopping you?


TONE

If you want the optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training this is it. Step into a LES MILLS TONE class and you’ll tick off a complete workout in 45 minutes. The challenging mix of lunges, squats, functional training and tubing exercises will help you burn calories and take your fitness to the next level. Also, a great functional class, LES MILLS TONE has a wide variety of options accommodating all fitness levels, ensuring everyone leaves the workout feeling successful.


THE TRIP

THE TRIP™ is a fully immersive workout experience that combines a 40-minute multi-peak cycling workout with a journey through digitally creative worlds. With its cinema-scale screen and sound system, the IMMERSIVE FITNESS™ workout takes motivation and energy output to the next level, burning serious calories.


PILATES

PILATES focuses on improving flexibility, strength and body awareness through controlled movements focusing on core activation and strength. During the class, you might experience a nice burn in targeted areas, but afterwards you can expect to feel really lengthened, energised and open. The low impact nature of PILATES makes it a safe option for everyone, no matter their age or fitness level.


SPRINT

Les Mills SPRINT is a 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results. It’s a short, intense style of training where the thrill and motivation comes from pushing your physical and mental limits. A high intensity, low impact workout, it's scientifically proven to return rapid results.



YOGA

YOGA is the perfect class for stretching and strengthening your entire body. This class will not only strength and stretch your body, but will also focus on your mind and spirit, promoting increased awareness, vitality, and inner peace.


ZUMBA

ZUMBA is a 55-minute class that is loaded with South American music, pulsating Latin rhythms and easy to follow, fun moves. This invigorating dance-fitness party will have you movin’, groovin’, and shakin’ to the beat of salsa, Cumbria, samba, merengue and more.



ACTIVE SENIORS

ACTIVE SENIORS is a 55-minute class that includes a combination of low impact cardio, strength training, balance, aerobics, sports training, and tai chi. This social class varies from class to class to keep the body strong, healthy, and mobile as we mature. LU Gym Active Seniors is an approved community strength and balance programme certified by Sport Canterbury and ACC.


ACTIVE KIDS

ACTIVE KIDS is a 55-minute class for 2-5 year old’s; it is great for improving fitness, co-ordination, strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence through play. Class structure includes obstacles, movement to music, parachute games and free play with balls and equipment. Classes run with school terms and is free for students and their families.
