Supporting children through Art Therapy

We are looking forward to having Sarah Moore work with us in the coming weeks on placement as a student studying art therapy.  Please read her bio below...

My name is Sarah Moore, I am 27 years old, currently in my third year of a Masters in Arts Therapy (clinical). I grew up on a farm in the Wairarapa and have been situated in Christchurch for the past nine years. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Arts Therapy and have a background working with the arts and with children.  I will be working at Lyttelton Primary School in the coming months for a few hours a week as part of my placement. I will work with individual children, who will be referred to me, after discussion with the parents and the child, through recommendation from the teachers. In a typical arts therapy session we will make art together or play together, and the child will be able to explore freely whatever is on their mind .I am looking forward to meeting and working alongside you soon.
