Seven teaching staff are involved in the 'Incredible Years Teacher' programme this year. (IYT)

IYT is an excellent opportunity to support and assist staff with approaches and strategies for management of school learning environments.  Key coverage includes:

• building positive relationships with students
  
• proactively preventing behaviour problems
  
• using attention, encouragement and praise to turn behaviour around
  
• motivating students by giving them incentives
  
• helping students learn social skills, empathy, and problem solving
  
• using appropriate consequences for undesirable behaviour.
  

PB4L and IYT are combined initiatives to support the school with its goals this year.
