Yellow for Sayyad
Lyttelton Primary School continues to show ngākau aroha and compassion by wearing yellow to commemorate Sayyad Milne (his favourite colour) on the 3rd anniversary of the mosque attack.
Thank you to all those students who wore yellow and provided a koha towards the 3 children's charities - Child Cancer Foundation, The Key to Life Charitable Trust and Save the Children New Zealand.
Thank you to the Tōtara students who participated in the futsal games at the Rec Centre. Futsal and football were Sayyad's passion and you represented the school at this event with dignity and compassion. It meant alot to Sayyad's family. Temel Atacocugu completed his walk for peace and was their to accept the koha from LPS.
I learnt more about Sayyad - that he loved futsal and yellow - Charlie.
