'Bright Day' Parade
Today we celebrated 'Bright Day' to promote Road Safety.
It was great to see the fluro vests, neon outfits and colourful clothing at school today. We certainly stood out to traffic when we walked our community.
The day helped to remind drivers to slow down and watch out for pedestrians and cyclists, and raise awareness of people killed and injured on foot and bicycle on our roads every year.
Our school focused on teaching our tamariki to move safely around our community, using the marked pedestrian crossings correctly, and helping drivers to be aware so they slow down around the school area.
