The Rakinui floor are in full swing getting ready for the week 4 production and it is going to be awesome! More to come on this but we can certainly look forward to a real showcase of learning in the Performance Arts. Please look out for notices from teachers around costume and items from home children may need to bring to rehearsals in the coming days.
Next week we are thrilled to have the School of Young Writers working with us again to support with extra enrichment in writing. This term school of young writers will be supporting our Kōwhai Young Writers and we look forward to sharing some writing with you.
A warm thank you to Te Aratai for welcoming our Tōtara Year 7 & 8 students visit to watch their school production of 'Grease' this week, an awesome experience and morning out. Impressive performing Arts talent at Te Aratai!
In week 3 (Monday 31 July to Thursday 3 August) we have tamariki, kaiako and some whānau visiting Rāpaki Marae. We need 3 or 4 parent helpers with each learning space so please see the notice sent home and contract teachers directly if you are available and would like to come with us!
This afternoon written comments were published for you to access along with the link to the booking system for follow up whānau learning conferences. These are scheduled for Monday 31 and Tuesday 1 August 3:15pm to 6pm. Kaiako are looking forward to meeting children and whānau at their conference time. We really value to opportunity for parents, children and teachers to meet together to discuss learning, progress and next steps for the remainder of the year. If you are unable to make a conference time please contact your child's/ren's teacher directly to arrange an alternative day.
We have our first school assembly for term 3 next Friday 9:15am, all welcome.
