Tōtara makes Rēwena Bread!
For procedural writing this term, our class decided to make rēwena bread to enhance our understanding of the recipe's steps.
In late July, the students of Tōtara embarked on a rēwena masterclass with Katrina Lassey and Royce Albrett. With some flour, sugar, water, rēwena bug and a little luck, our seniors produced a bread dough that proved overnight and baked the next day into deliciousness. There was enough bread to share with the top floor and the staff. Ka rawe tō mahi tamariki mā!
