In week 9 our year 8's headed to Auckland to celebrate their time with us.

It was an action-packed trip filled with adventure.

Day 1: We arrived in Auckland and headed into the city. We discovered how movies and wounds are made at Weta Unleashed. Next we headed up the sky tower and got a glimpse of Rangitoto. After a yummy Mexican dinner we headed to an escape room where we finished the night with a challenge before crashing out for the night.

Day 2: We had an early start as we raced to catch a ferry across the harbour. After 30 mins we arrived on Rangitoto, a pest free island in the Hauraki Gulf. We walked an hour to the summit and explored some lava caves.

Day 3: We headed into Auckland Zoo where we learnt about Tigers, Apes and explored the new enclosures. We then headed to the Stardome to learn about the night sky and what planets humans can survive on.

Day 4: The final day! After a brief trip to Rainbow's end to try out some rides we headed home. Excited to see our families.
