Parent Information Evening

Family Hub —

Please come along to the Parent Information Evening on Wednesday 15 March. The Family Hub will provide light refreshments from 6.45pm, with presentations starting at 7pm. Hope to see you there!

PB4L

The Positive Behaviour for Learning programme (PB4L) will be one of the topics at the Parent Information Evening.  The school is already in the process of implementing this programme which acknowledges and rewards positive behaviour with a specific emphasis currently on respect. The Family Hub is helping out in getting the box of 'Reward Treasure' together. The system works by acknowledging children showing particular behaviours with a 'Gotcha' card, these are then put into a draw twice a week for some kind of prize.........Which is where the Hub comes in.

We think that we should be showing respect for our local community by shopping local for these prizes and using it as an opportunity to generate community connections. If you have ideas or other suggestions through work or family for sourcing of prizes (new, under $5 value, but no sweets) please let us know.  We have a budget, but are also very gratefully accepting other contributions.

Art Auction

A big reminder that the Peninsula Art Auction is on the weekend of 8-9 April. This is the main fundraiser for LPS, organised by a small and very dedicated crew.

The Family Hub are providing support to the fabulous group that organise this and they need some help with getting the publicity posters up around town. If you can spare a wee bit of time to put posters up in a concentrated area or could take even one and put it up in your place of work or leisure it would be a big help. Please contact us! They will also be looking for help for the gala even on the 9th, but for the moment getting the word out there, is the most important job.

Next drop-in session -Thursday 23 March 2017!

Our next coffee morning is on Thursday 23 March from 8.30 until 9.30am. Please come along and have a chat, would be great to see you there.
