An update for parents/whānau on the proposed industrial action by primary teachers and principals.

Following strike action in August, and extensive negotiations, the Ministry of Education made second offers to both primary teachers and principals.  Members voted to reject these offers and have now voted to hold a week of rolling (geographical) one-day strikes from 12 - 16 November.  This means that Christchurch teachers will be on strike on Wednesday 14 November.  

Further negotiations are scheduled for 5 November so we will continue to keep you updated.
