Science in a Van - Kowhai

Dinah Wallis —

This week we have two pieces of writing from our students.

Science in a Van

On Monday 6th of March, Science in a Van came to our school hall. The whole school went to it, they said to us that never put dry ice in a sealed container. First we saw Rachel take a tablecloth off a table with stuff still on it without the stuff falling off. Then the year 4 and 5 went to ‘What's the Matter’ and he put dry ice in a water bottle and then he opened it and a cloud came out. It was really fun and I want to do good next time in science.

On Monday

Yesterday at the start of the day science in a van came to school. The whole school came to the first show. Emily and Alan took three groups, the year 0-3, the year 4-5 and another one. I was in the year 4-5 group (‘What’s the Matter’). We saw a hand glove being blown up by baking soda and vinegar. We also watched Dinah nearly get splattered by blue goop. It was Fantastic !
