We gathered at Albion Square on Wednesday 16 December to celebrate the end of our year, and to farewell our amazing group of Year 8 students.

Each of the teams on the Town Site and the Hill Site prepared an item to celebrate our year, and to thank our Year 8s for all they had contributed to our school.

Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us and we had to call a rain halt before we had completed our programme. We did enjoy the items each group prepared, and loved the parents of the Year 8s coming on stage to sing to their children.

We took up where we had left off the next day in the hall. The surroundings were not as exciting, but it was dry and we were able to present our leavers with their certificates and  Harakeke children presented their big buddies with their T-shirts. We also enjoyed the Year 7 item and the Year 8 performance.

Our Year 8s have been an amazing group of children and have participated fully  in all opportunities they have been offered, and those they have created through their project based learning with Rachel and Brett.

We also farewelled five staff members (Tom Mould, Brett Morell, Rosalie Bennett, Anita Trestrail and Liza Rossie) as well as other children who are moving to new places and schools.
