On 16 May 2016, Lyttelton Primary school had a big yearly event at the Lyttelton Rec grounds: The Cross Country races. 

It was a beautiful day for the races, blue skies, no wind: Perfect racing conditions. 

The students ran in year groups: year 1-3 ran the small circuit, with year 4-8 running the menacing "M" track. The year 7-8 had to run around the "M" not one, not two, but three times. It was, to say the least, very tiring.
