Francie Graham —

For the next 2 weeks we will be talking about ways to solve our own problems. These ideas are hugely empowering to children, and make up a huge part of being able to self manage.

Classes will come up with their own ideas, depending on their developmental levels. We will be talking about their choices for negotiation, and reinforcing their skills. As your child grows, they are learning and developing social skills, including negotiation and conflict management.

Playing with others allows children to test and develop their social skills in a flexible environment. They are learning to make friends, play with others, take turns, negotiate and work as part of a team or community. Your child is also learning to deal with emotions.
