Project Time in Kowhai
For Project Time in Kowhai, Euan and George decided to make a compass.
At school we were using compasses to learn about direction in Maths. We wrote a plan to make a compass. Then we watched a video on how to make one. You need wax paper and a strong magnet and a pin and a bowl of water. We magnetised the pin and put it through the wax paper and filled a bowl with water. Lastly we put the paper and pin in the water and it slowly pointed north. It was really fun!
