PB4L: Including Others
Children and young people learn best when they:
feel accepted
enjoy positive relationships with their fellow learners and teachers, and
are able to be active, visible members of the learning community.
Inclusive education means all children and young people are engaged and achieve through being present, participating, learning and belonging. It means all learners are welcomed and are supported to play, learn, contribute and participate in all aspects of life at the school or service.
At Lyttelton school we can include others by…letting others join in our games, if we see someone that looks lonely ask them to come play and by letting others work with us.
At home we can include others by…asking family members to join in, helping each other around the home and playing with lots of different people in our neighbourhood.
