School for Young Writers comes to Kowhai

Dinah Wallis —

We have been super impressed with the quality of the writing Kowhai is producing. Here is some for you to read.

In my special wishing world I see the daffodils shining in the sun.

In my special wishing world I run through the green bright grass.

In my special wishing world, I can see the little white clouds gently swaying through the sky.

In my special wishing world, I fly over the mountains and smell the flowers in the breeze.

In my special wishing world everything is made of sweets the sea is made of raspberry juice and the flowers are lollipops.

In my special wishing world, I hear the birds tweeting in the sunshine.

Mt Hutt and the Coward Humans

I look down

At the land

I ́ve been looking

At it for years

But in the last century

They've been coward humans

On some long things

They attach to their feet

Some wear fluorescent clothes

Some wear black clothes

People teach to do

Whatever they call them

I see structures

Then I get mad

Those puny humans

Polluting me

I see people on vehicles

Taking them to the top of me

I hear shouts of proudness

And cries of pain

And the most beautiful thing I see is Canterbury

The wonderful adventures of gymnastics

In my gymnastics world

I flip around

all day long.

In my gymnastics world

I train for hours

on end.

In my gymnastics world

I dream of red

sparkly leotards

all the time.

In my gymnastics world

the big kids' bang

on the beat board.

In my gymnastics world

I spill with joy.

Ḧ ̈Hi, This is a random and confusing story.̈ started 1.

¨NO IT IS NOT CONFUSING ̈ roared 2

̈ ̈Okay, but it is random.¨

¨NO IT IS JUST A STORY ̈

̈Now that is confusing.¨

̈ ̈Oh yeah.¨

̈And random.¨

¨Yep.¨

̈Um, what was the story about anyway?̈ mused 1.

¨No idea.¨

̈ ̈Oh yeah, once upon a time a no idea roamed¨ ¨Wait a moment, stop. That doesn't sound right¨

“Sigh”
