Watch out for the scary dragons and taniwha!
Kōwhai students have been enjoying being creative using dragons and taniwha for our writing inspiration.
Dinah's group have been focussing on labelling their dragon pictures.
Whaea Beccy's group drew weird and wacky dragons by working in groups. We folded a piece of paper into 4 parts and each child only had control of what their part looked like - with no knowledge of what the person before them had drawn. Person 1 - drew the head, person 2 drew the torso and maybe legs, person 3 drew the lower back part and the last person decided how the creature would look for the back end/tail part. Then we opened up our picture so see what weird and wonderful creatures we had created and there was much laughter!
Check out a small selection of our children's work.
