Animals on the Grassy

Rachel Ono —

On Wednesday 29th of November the tamariki of Takaroa had a special visit from some furry friends!

Whitebait Media came to Lyttelton Primary School with some animals to do research for a new kids tv show.   They wanted to see how animals react to children, and vice versa.

We got to meet guinea pigs, an alpaca, goats, calves, a rabbit, chicks and a pony.  We got to hold the animals, feed them, walk them and some of us even got to ride the pony!

Tenzi said "the alpaca was so friendly and his name was Justin Bieber".

Lucinda said "the guinea pigs were so tiny and fluffy and cute!"

Caitlin said "my favourite ones were the guinea pigs because they were so tiny and one of them liked me and didn't want to let go".

Micah said "the pony ride was really bumpy but fun and the pony was soft"!

Leah said "there was a cow called Moo and he was about two months old".
