Principal's Message
Congratulations to all recipients of assembly certificates today.
Fabulous to see so many children being recognised for demonstrating our school values of manaakitanga - respect, manawanui - perseverance and ngākau aroha - empathy in this morning's assembly. A number of children received their school values band today for reaching 20 Lyttel Rep cards.
Special mention today to Shia, Hayley and Amy for being awarded the Principal's Award today for an excellent job planning and implementing the school talent show this week.
Thank you for your responses to the Reporting to Parents survey that has been running this month. Just over 18% of our families completed the survey and there is numerous and wide ranging comment for us to analyse and review. We look forward to sharing the results and our considerations with you shortly. Next Friday your child will bring home an interim mid year report. We recognise that this report has not yet taken into consideration your feedback but rest assured we will be using this to re-design our written reporting and from term 3 onwards. Please keep an eye on school bags for your child's mid year report next Friday.
It is beautiful evening for the Festival of Lights. Here are the final messages about the parade emailed out earlier in the week. Remember to come and check out the bioluminescent artwork in the 'Bioluminaire Lyttelton School Glowing Art Gallery'!
