Exploring the Design Process

Raupō —

In Raupō we have been looking at how we can use the design process to solve a problem.

The first thing we did was identify a problem and explain it. We also had to explain why it was important to our group. The biggest challenge was deciding on a problem we all agreed on.

Next we had to design a solution. It had to be possible using technology that exists. Then we share this with three friends. They told us two things they liked about the design and one thing they would change. We took this feedback and made some changes to our design.

Our next step is to use everyday items such as cardboard to make a prototype. We will be looking around our homes for materials we can recycle. Watch this space!
