Cultural Festival 2019

Lyttelton Primary School —

Wow-what a blast. So many students getting the opportunity to shine at the Horncastle Arena! 2 Kowhai students have written about their experience.

On Friday I performed at the Cultural Festival.  My costume was a black dress and a headband and they both had white swirls.

I was nervous!

Once I was on the stage it looked very big. I performed well, I remembered the words and actions. My favourite was To Poho o Tamatea. It is a song from Rapaki. I felt relieved when it finished. It was my second time doing the Cultural Festival.

Cultural Festival

I was in the cultural festival I was really nervous but it was fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it.  My favourite dress was a one with a Samoan flower. When we were performing I felt happy because everyone was in tune. The stage was very bright, the audience was dark and I could not see anyone. When we had finished I felt relieved.
