Parade to start the Lyttelton Arts Festival
Friday 30th June Leaving at 5pm from the LAF Theatre Meet at LAF Theatre by 4:55pm Kids Dance Party at LAF Theatre after parade from 5:15pm - 6:30pm Free Event.
To mark the start of the Lyttelton Arts Festival we're having a parade, and we're doing it for the kids.
Wear your lights, carry your lantern, bring your festive wear or a mask - and we'll supply the glow sticks. It's festival time!
We're encouraging the community and the kids to come down to the LAF Theatre at 5pm where 'Ambush Brass' band will lead the parade along London St to Albion Square where there'll be a short fire performance and we'll be doing a welcome.
The parade will then be led back by the band to the LAF Theatre where the school will be fundraising via a food stall selling wontons, and mulled wine for grown ups, while the kids dance the night away (until 6:30pm) at the Dance Party with DJ's and antics from the Big Kids Collective.
To ensure safety, we require that kids have a grown up present for this event.
We envisage the parade will be done in around 10-15 minutes, and you can enjoy a wonton or mulled wine to see in the start of the festival, and the school holidays.
See you there!
