In Raupō we have been learning about compass directions and how to read grid references.

After completing some learning around compass directions and how to read grid references, students were tasked with planning an adventure day leaving from Lyttelton. Students chose to visit a range of places including Orana Wildlife park, the Airport and Ngā puna Wai sports park. They had to record the direction of travel, number of squares traveled and the grid reference they finished in.
