Mike Field
Kia ora, Ko Mike tōku ingoa :)
I have two kids at Lyttelton Primary, Charlie and Georgie, and it's an honour to be in a governance position at their school, in a great little community I'm proud to call home.
I grew up in Scotland, and was a professional musician and tutor until I left in 2012. In New Zealand I’ve worked in broadcasting and as CEO under a board of trustees at a youth trust, as well as being a board member on both the Canterbury Youth Workers Collective and Q-Topia. My main job is looking after the kids while my wife, Laura, works as an Emergency department consultant at Christchurch Hospital.
I work in marketing and content creation, and run my own business, speedcube.co.nz, which revolves around a committed group of skilled young specialists who I support to be the best in their field. I have a history of youth work and a passion for young people and their opportunities.
