Ka kite āpōpō - See you tomorrow
Kia ora e te whānau
Kia ora e te whānau
We are excited to be welcoming everyone back tomorrow! Reminder that my communication with whānau from last week is also up on the school website under the covid-19 updates tab.
The property work has progressed well over summer. The area near the playground has an upgrade to support children for their active play in the trees and planting area. This will be officially opened after Waitangi weekend. The court surface is complete with new basketball, netball hoops to be installed. Unfortunately a supply issues has delayed the new soft fall surface under the play equipment for a week or two. Please avoid the fenced off areas.
Thank you in advance for your understanding as we manage and operate the school at the red setting. I know our staff are focussed firstly on engaging and connecting children back to school and learning. The learning spaces are looking fantastic. We have an awesome school community and staff.
While we will do the very best to meet the requirements of the red setting, we also understand that things will evolve over time, rest assured we will adapt and adjust our red setting plans as is necessary following the advice from the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education.
To support us with the first week back please can parents and whānau:
- drop off and pick up children from outside the school. Please avoid coming on to the school site if you can.
- Harakeke Parents (Year 1 and 2 children), drop off and pick up from the netball court area. Please do not enter the school buildings.
- Totara students will be released at the earlier time of 2:50pm to avoid congestion at the gate
- Please wear an appropriate mask and maintain 2 metre physical distancing.
Ngā mihi nui
