PB4L - The latest news...
Stay tuned for latest PB4L updates and news here!
'Jumping the gun' this year we made the executive decision to focus on 'RESPECT' as a school value of importance. You may have noticed the respect certificates and Principal's Award at the last week's assembly? Next week we also have significant 'free and frequent' reinforcement and praise for the children who are demonstrating specific behaviours and qualities targetted out in the playground. These have been discussed and created collaboratively with staff through evidence and data. Our teachers have worked together to ensure consistent approaches and expectations for how the teaching of respect will happen. At this early stage we have focussed on the setting of the 'grassy and terraces' and a general all settings focus. All teachers are unpacking, teaching, reminding and prompting children about:
- playing safely
- sharing spaces
- caring for plants
- using manners
- looking after our environment.
The seniors have been doing a great job assisting the school with their input and 'student voice' into new systems to support PB4L.
