The Christchurch Art Gallery

On Thursday 20th August Raupō went to the art gallery. At 9.30am we left on the bus it took 25 mins to get there.

When we got to the gallery we sat outside while the teacher sorted out our little groups with the adults. We got a worksheet for a scavenger hunt at the gallery, then we all split up to look for what our worksheet said.

At 11.45am we walked to the Botanical Gardens to have lunch. When lunch was finished we went back to the Art Gallery. 

For the afternoon we were in the classroom session. We explored Pacifica printmaking and we made stamps! We got a block of wood and foam then cut out the shape we wanted and stuck it on the wooden block. Then we got ink pads and paper and created an artwork. 

It was fun!!!!!
