An important part of Harakeke's role is to maintain relationships with our local preschools. This is always a fun and rewarding part of our job, and one we always get the children involved in.

Last week the 7 most recent new entrants to Harakeke joined Jenny and myself in visiting our old friends at the Kindergarten. We met with some of the children coming to school in the next wee while, and read our old friends some of the books that we've learnt to read since starting school. It was fantastic to have Jenny along for the ride - we are so lucky to have a principal who loves these trips as much as Janet and I do.
