Canterbury Primary Schools EPro 8 Challenge.

Royce Albrett —

In mid-June - two of our Tōtara EPro 8 teams, King Kogs and the Kindergarteners, went to Hillmorton High School and took part in a Canterbury zone Primary School Epro 8 challenge. An amazing effort full of Manawanui/Perserverance and Manaakitanga/Respect shown by Charlie W, Euan, Ben, Vue, Mathias, Davy, Charlie L and Edwin.

On a cold winter evening, where our students had a full day of school and winter sports, the King Kogs and Kindergarteners took up the 3 hour challenge with mārohirohi (determination and strength). Whānau and kaiako were allowed to attend the event but were instructed to not verbalise encouragement so our ākonga had to work independently to achieve tasks which earnt points throughout the evening. At the end of the day, our students had conducted themselves to a very high standard and as a kura we could not be prouder of their E Ranga (personal best).
