Kaiako / Teacher - Kōwhai Year 2

Kia ora, I’m Rowena and I am teaching in Harakeke, with the Year 0 -2 children. I have been teaching since 2019 at Lyttelton across Years 2-4

Prior to teaching I worked in the corporate world in Human Resource Management and Recruitment in New Zealand and overseas. I decided to retrain and completed a Teaching Diploma in 2018. I feel very fortunate to have found a profession that is challenging and dynamic and incredibly rewarding.

I am responsible for the Junior Choir, School Garden and support our tamariki in their environmental activities. Music, Gardening and nature are also my passions outside of school.
