Learning waiata across the school

This year we have a fantastic senior kapahaka rōpū who performed during our Matariki celebration and are currently working towards their Aupaki Cultural Festival performance. Please save the date! Our performance will be at Te Aratai on the evening of Thursday 14th September. More info to come.

The wider kura have been utilising an amazing resource of online kapahaka tutorials including games, waiata, haka, actions and quizzes that they can incorporate into their weekly timetable. Justin Rogers, the creator of this resource, came to Lyttelton primary last week to share and perform with our students! He was full of energy and we all loved the opportunity to meet and sing with him in person!
