Our Athletes at the Canterbury Athletics event on Wednesday

Joely Townley, Lisa Quan Webb, Isaac Warnock and Tashi Sherpa travelled to Ashburton (an early start) to compete.  The weather was kind and we had a calm 21 degrees.  2018 Athletes gathered to compete.

Tashi's best throw with the discus was 16 metres.

Isaac was in the top 10 with a long jump distance of 3.89m and 1.20 in high jump.

Lisa Quan and Joely had to sub in 2 runners to join their relay team.  They placed 3rd in their heat and this put them straight through to the final.  However after a couple of schools had run the race incorrectly, the heat was rerun.  With tired legs the girls competed well, but just missed a spot in the final.
