Do you know about Torty the Lucky Tortoise who is the sole survivor of World War 1 and is still alive today?

We sketched Torty and wrote stories about his life and all the adventures he has been on! Stewart, a stretcher-bearer in Greece in World War 1, saved Torty after he was run over by a gun carriage. He took Torty back to New Zealand, Dunedin where she escaped, got stolen and nearly died in a fire. She now lives in Napier and is over 200 years old! Check out some of our stories and sketches here.
