Macandrew Bay School Newsletter - 22 March 2024

Kia ora koutou,

I hope everyone enjoys the extra day this weekend.  School will be closed to observe Otago Anniversary Day on Monday 25th March.  If you are staying put this weekend you might want to embrace the vibrant spirit of the Pacific by checking out the 3rd Moana Nui Festival at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin. Enjoy a cultural journey filled with music, dance, art, and the celebration of our local Pacific communities at the festival.

Thanks again everyone for all your awesome mahi with our school fair.  It was a huge success because of the effort and contributions from everyone.  It was wonderful to have our past pupils, staff and whānau come back to help and enjoy all the fun of the fair.

I am on leave for a few days attending my cousins wedding in Australia.  Please contact Jess or Mel if anything urgent comes up while I am away.

Mauri ora

Nic

COVID- What to do? and other illness

by Nic Brown

We recommend you take the time to read through the expectations we have about illness. It is important we take a sensible, caring approach of not coming to school sick. We are finding it harder each year to get relievers for sick staff and we want to minimise the spread of sickness in classes.
