NZDF PRESENTATION
On Monday at lunchtime, more than 30 students came to listen to an NZDF presentation about apprenticeships and trades available through the defence force.
Staff Sergeant Heath Patch and ex Mackenzie College student, Private Isabelle Lett, spoke with students for nearly an hour. Private Lett is currently studying as a junior medic in the Royal New Zealand Army Medical Corps training school in Burnham, Christchurch. Students were introduced to the more than 100 trades on offer through the NZDF in the four areas of fix, fight, lead, and enable. Students or parents who would like more information about apprenticeships, scholarships, or careers within the NZDF can contact Steve Onyett - steveo@mackcollege.school.nz or go directly to the NZDF careers page - www.defencecareers.mil.nz
