SEASON START - TERM 1

Netball is our largest sporting code at Mahurangi College. All players need to register to play at either North Harbour or Rodney. Only those intending to play at North Harbour attend trials - you must register before trials.

2026 TRIALS

All players that are wanting to compete at the Netball North Harbour centre need to trial. Rodney netball players do not need to trial. Rodney netball registrations are below NNH information.

All trials for our sports teams are closed events. We ask that parents and caregivers do not attend these sessions. Players are selected based on skills, position, versatility, commitment and availability.

Players must be available to play during these times. Netball North Harbour does not give exemption for students involved in other sports or cultural activities.

Year 7
Tuesdays 4 -7pm.
Year 8
Thursdays 4-7pm.
Year 9
Mondays 4.30-7pm.
Year 10 -13
Saturdays 8am-1pm.

RODNEY NETBALL

GAMES

Mahurangi College students generally create their own teams to participate at the Rodney Netball Courts in Wellsford, with support from parent/caregiver managers. If you already have a team or friends you would like to play with, please complete the expression of interest form for Rodney teams. If you do not have a team, we create teams from individual students where numbers allow.

Year 7-8
Saturdays 8am-12pm.
Year 9-13
Fridays 5:30-8pm.

AIMS GAMES

A Netball team may have the opportunity to attend the AIMS Games Tournament;however, this event will come with an additional cost. The school works through a selection process that takes into consideration gender equity, staff availability, and accommodation options. Teams selected to attend AIMS will be confirmed at the end of Term 1.

APPAREL

Teams are provided with a playing dress. Our Premier 1 team will be issued with blazers and sideline jackets.

SEASON FEES 2026

Season fees for 2026 will vary based on team selection, so it’s a good idea to set up an automatic payment with Student Services.

VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for volunteer managers, coaches and umpires for each team. Umpire courses will be scheduled throughout the year to up-skill interested parents and family members. Please let us know if you are available to help in these positions.

To attend trips, assist with transport, and to manage or coach teams, all parents/caregivers must be Police Vetted (under the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014). Once you have been vetted through a school this is valid for 3 years. However, prior Police checks with other institutions are not valid.
